This is the thread for recs of short podfic that already exists that is suitable for Zombies, Run! playlists. Stories should be shorter than about 6-7 minutes and have good enough sound quality that they will be audible while running (I've run into trouble with this on a few occasions). It's extra helpful if they're "on topic" -- if they deal with the characters running or being attacked by zombies -- but if you have favorites that are off topic, please rec those too!

This is the prompting post. Anyone can prompt. The stories don't have to be set in the Zombies Run!-verse, although that might be fun. They can feature zombies, or running, or anything reasonably related. Please don't leave totally unrelated prompts like "Bandom: Frank and Gerard are Apollo 11 astronauts" or whatever. Podfics posted to the comm don't have to come from prompts; these are just in case you need inspiration.

We're going to try to have one thread per fandom, plus one for crossovers. I'll start off with threads for a few fandoms that are likely to encounter zombies, just as an example, but of course feel free to prompt for any type of fandom. If you're posting a prompt for a fandom that doesn't have its own thread yet, please first create the thread and then post your prompt as a comment underneath it, as in the examples.

When claiming a prompt, please specify if you're planning to both write and record the story, or just write it. If a person claims a story to write but not record, someone else can make a clain to record the story when the writer is done. Written fills can be left directly in the prompt thread or posted elsewhere and linked. Details on how to post recordings will be available soon, so just hold off on posting those for the time being. Welcome to the Zombies, Run! podfic community!

If you've played "Zombies, Run!", you know that your playlist is an important part of the game. Sure, you could listen to music between game segments like a normal person, but how much better would it be to listen to your favorite characters weathering the zombie apocalypse right along with you?

The purpose of this community is to encourage the creation and sharing of (roughly) song-length podfic suitable for "Zombies, Run!" playlists. The stories don't have to be set in the Zombies Run!-verse, although that might be fun. They can feature zombies, or running, or anything reasonably related.

I don't have all the logistical details sorted out yet for how podfics will get posted and stored, so please stay tuned for that. However! In the meantime, I will be putting up two posts. The first will be a poll to help determine the best length for stories and how best to post them. The second will be for prompts. It is not necessary to be planning to write or record fic in order to submit a prompt, and it is perfectly fine not to use any prompts from the prompt post and just come up with your own story. The prompts will be strictly for inspiration. Later on, there will be posts for stories seeking readers and readers seeking stories, posts for recs of already-existing fic that's good for ZR playlists, and probably some other stuff I'm not thinking of right now.
